This year, Passover week begins March 30th at sunset, and ends April 7th at sunset. Technically, Passover is the first two days (March 30th sunset – April 1 sunset), and Unleavened Bread fills out the week (April 1 sunset – April 7 sunset).[1] For the duration of Passover week no leavened bread is eaten. Thus matzo (flat unleavened bread) is eaten during Passover week.

The Days of the Omer begin March 31st at sunset, and conclude 49 days later on May 19th which is the day before Shavuot (Festival of Weeks, Pentecost).[1]
