It’s been a long week. A very long week. After fighting the flu (on top of my other chronic health problems), I spent most of my time working on the web site. The thing about doing this kind of work is this: 80-90% of it is not visible. It’s all code and server work. In other words, one works and works, day after day, with nothing visible to show for it. THEN, all of a sudden, something happens. The backend code starts to come together and bam … you have something to do that is visible. I’m not saying I need my work to be seen, but after a month or more of working on the invisible, it’s nice to finally have something to show for it.
Now, Shabbat is less than an hour away. So, I wrap up this week (this month) with a little bit to show for all the hours and effort. A nice sense of accomplishment finally wafts into the room. It’s nice. Simple, and nice.
