Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement - points to the future judgment of all mankind by their Creator. None of us are immune; no one has amnesty. All will be judged.
The difference between those who will be saved (delivered from destruction) and the rest is the consequences of our actions will either be filtered through the Atoning Sacrifice of the Lamb of G-d or they will not. For those of us who have submitted ourselves under the authority of Yeshua, the consequences of our rebellious and selfish life here on earth will be expunged through the unselfish act of pure love that paid the death penalty on our behalf. Only the actions of obedience to Adonai's instructions he gave us through His Word will remain after we are judged. Everything else will be consumed by the fire of His Holiness. Every moment we waisted in, our own selfishness will be lost. The only thing we will have to show for our life's work is a small collection of the occasions we remained faithful to Adonai's instruction and held on to His promises. The rest will be forever lost.
'"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. ' - Matthew 6:19-21 TLV
