Deuteronomy 8:5

NASB So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.

TLV Now you know in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Adonai your God disciplines you.

CJB Think deeply about it: Adonai was disciplining you, just as a man disciplines his child.

AMPC Know also in your [minds and] hearts that, as a man disciplines and instructs his son, so the Lord your God disciplines and instructs you.

ICB Know in your heart that the Lord your God corrects you. He corrects you as a father does his son.

EXB Know in your heart that the Lord your God ·corrects [instructs; disciplines] you as a parent ·corrects [instructs; disciplines] a child.
